Campaigns

This was a scale up of the project GEPaN Implemented in 2021. We implemented in four divisions in Longido District. The goal of the Stop Child Marriage Campaign was to allow girls to experience childhood and access educational opportunities.

The Fight Against Cervical Cancer Campaign is one of the flagship health initiatives of Girls Empowerment Program and Network (GEPaN) Tanzania, dedicated to reducing the burden of cervical cancer among women and girls through awareness, prevention, early screening, HPV vaccination advocacy, and improved access to healthcare services. Launched in 2022, the campaign aims to increase knowledge about cervical cancer, encourage regular screening, promote HPV vaccination for eligible girls, and reduce preventable deaths, particularly among women living in rural and underserved communities such as Longido District. GEPaN believes that no woman should lose her life to a disease that is largely preventable through education, vaccination, and early detection.

The Stop Child Marriage Campaign is one of the flagship initiatives of Girls Empowerment Program and Network (GEPaN) Tanzania, dedicated to ending child marriage and protecting the rights of girls in Maasai communities across Longido District and other underserved areas of Tanzania. Since its launch in 2021, the campaign has reached thousands of girls, parents, community leaders, teachers, and local government authorities through awareness creation, education, advocacy, and community engagement. The campaign addresses the root causes of child marriage, including poverty, gender inequality, harmful cultural practices, and limited access to education. GEPaN believes that every girl has the right to complete her education, make informed decisions about her future, and live free from violence, discrimination, and exploitation.
